Most house cleaning covers the floors, the kitchen, and the bathrooms, and stops there. What it usually misses is the windows, which streak and film over faster than people expect, especially on a house that faces a busy Dayton street or backs onto trees. Gutters get skipped even more often, because nobody looks up at them until water is running down the siding during the next hard rain.
A different, smaller problem is trust. Letting someone into your home is not the same as letting a crew into an office, and a lot of families are wary of a rotating cast of unfamiliar cleaners, or supplies that are not safe around a dog or a cat that has the run of the house.

You do not always need to be home for the whole job. Exterior work, like outdoor window cleaning, only needs safe access to that side of the house, while interior cleaning follows whatever you are comfortable with, whether that means being there the whole time or handing over a key.

What happens when it gets put off
Gutters that go a season or two without clearing back up during heavy rain, and the overflow runs straight down the siding and toward the foundation, which is a far more expensive fix than the cleaning would have been. Windows left too long build up a film that ordinary glass cleaner cannot cut, so what would have been a routine wash turns into a heavier job.
